Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Following the "Law and ..." approach, the relationships between law and clothing are outlined. The themes of clothing as a right are distinguished (legal act of dress), of clothing as a normed reality (right-of-dress and right-of-dress) and of law as clothing, hypothesizing the norm as "legal status" of the case. In relation to the areas identified, the delimitation, protection, mediation, identity and communication functions are analyzed, with reference to the standard and the dress. Fashion, costume and order are compared in their dimension of regulatory systems. Finally, brief reflections are devoted to the rules of dress in the courts, to the uniforms of procedural subjects and to prison policies regarding the clothes of prisoners.
