Abstract

This paper shed light on elderly individuals’ reactions on gamification-based digital therapeutics: Results of an experiment studies demonstrate that individuals’ perceived ease of use of gamification-based DTx positively influence their intention to use, because of the perceived usefulness: However, such effect is magnified by elderly individuals’ socialization seeking that is elderly looking for expert peers or younger individuals in overcoming barriers to using new healthcare technologies.
