Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The review of the volume 'The protection of health in places of detention. A criminal law investigation around prison, REMS and CPR ', curated by Antonella Massaro, offers the opportunity to confront the complex dynamics that the right to health assumes in Italy with reference to people subjected to a restriction of their personal freedom. The intricate balance between (criminal) protection of health, on the one hand, and security needs, on the other, is examined within three significant "non-places": the prison, the Residences for the execution of the measures (REMS) and the Permanence Centers for Repatriation (CPR).
