Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay investigates the relationship between myth and politics, in relation to the original philosophical question. Faced with disorientation (thauma), the myth is an attempt to epistemic mastery, which makes it possible to inhabit the city and therefore the political making. From here two sides of a ridge: a myth, and a policy, which leave room for what is not humanly mastery (death, the limit) and therefore are capable of generating open and inclusive cities; on the other hand, a myth and a policy that purports to resolve the limit and overcome finiteness, thus generating tendentially totalitarian cities.
