Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The “5 miles from Milan” project promoted the urban, cultural and social regeneration of the Quinto Romano district through a festival of performing arts in collaboration with the local citizens, also involving the surrounding neighborhoods and the territory. The dense network of relationships built throughout the project made it possible to create new bonds and transform the periphery into a stage for a day, a social and cultural process capable of (re) generating a community of sharing, which could not only recognize itself but even get out of isolation.
