Abstract

We are too familiar to consider the year 1927 of Heidegger (Sein und Zeit) and Marcel (Journal Méthaphisique) by the categories of the “after” and the philosophies of existence to the point where we can’t no longer feel a different interpretation by the categories of the “before” and of Buber’s I and You (1923). The common polemical and anti-sartrian novel claims the Being, rather than the existence, but it liskely to stop at the proximity, in which we can see an alternative novel, that brings Marcel closer to the dialogic principle (Buber, 1954) and the thought of the Other (Lévinas, 1975). “A fundamental agreement” with Heidegger for the Zuspruch des Seins and the Thruth as an openness, “methaphysical proximity”, shared sensibility, influences. But the Marcel’s “accord-désaccord” and the “fundamental differences” for the blocked openings, the abstract philosophize, the “disowning of the Other” marked contrast to there (Ma relation avec Heidegger, 1957, 1979). And also the Heidegger’s “belief to stand in front of the mistery” (Letter on Humanism, 1947) sounds like an oversight.
