Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay completes the elaboration and realization of the first show on the French revolution staged by the Theater du Soleil under the direction of Ariane Mnouchkine in 1970: 1789 The revolution doit s'reter a la perfection du bonheur. The show - which later became a film by the same director - intertwines important threads of French and European history tout court and the history of the show, constituting one of the few happy group achievements, with a dramaturgy written starting from a long documentation work and study and improvisations.
