Abstract
The paper aims to describe the inflection of German adjectives. A two-stage procedure is pro-posed. In the first, expressions from concrete texts are observed. For this purpose, a corpus-based search is proposed using WebCorp as a software tool that treats Google as a corpus. Then, a description of inflection from a syntagmatic perspective is introduced, describing the principle of monoinflection as an elegant theoretical tool to explain the ability of native speakers to deal with an aspect of grammar that is very difficult for learners to understand.
