Abstract
Venice is not but a theme in Proust's novel. For Proust Venice is the space of the soul and the heart, a sheer initiation path, that each reader is invited to travel in his own heart. This paper address the public audience and does not require a specialized knowledge of Proust's work. It only constitutes a heartfelt invitation to enter Proust's universe through one of the most significant themes of À la recherche du temps perdu.
